Over New Year's Holiday 2008-2009, BIP hosted the USA Youth Girls Team and Teams Select and Lasko from Jacksonville, Florida.
All teams landed in Venice, Italy and then met up in Maribor for the New Year’s festivities on the Pohorje Mountain after going their respective ways for the 27th to 30th and again from January 2 to 6.

The Jacksonville Delegation stayed by the sea in Izola, Slovenia, and had matches in Koper, Slovenia and Pula, Croatia. On the 30th, they spent the day in Mislinja (Hvala Urban!) where they played two matches and had the cultural day of the the trip. From there, it was off to Maribor to meet up with the USA Youth Delegation, and the Austrian Youth National Team for some fun on the mountain. After New Years, they headed to the Alps of Italy to participate in the Ruffini Tournament against a handful of Italian club teams and ended with a full day in Venice, Italy prior to heading home.
