Everyone took advantage of the morning off in their own way. While some slept, others opted to sit in the sun at the base of the Pohorje Mountain (our hotel, Hotel Arena, is located at the bottom of one of the world class runs). And on the slope just outside our patio, some of the boys even decided to try the "alpine slide" (a sort of summertime luge on a track).
The nine remaining boys on tour played a match against the local, first division team (Maribor). One coach from a strong club in Switzerland (Lugano) was in attendance, as well as two Slovenian coaches. The boys went 2-2 with the Slovenians, winning the second and fourth sets, and running out of time for a fifth set (the handball team needed the court).
The Maribor coach was pleased with the competition. Tomorrow we travel by bus, 25 minutes, to play a 10am match.
