Bring It Promotions' annual Women's Spring European Tour gets underway March 18. VolleyCentral will be providing exclusive reports on this year's spring tour. Coverage will include results, photos and, best of all, journals written by the players.
Bring It Promotions (BIP) founder Tim Kelly began organizing these tours as a way for the participating players to get exposure in Europe to top professional club teams. For most players, the desired result is a contract to play professionally in Europe. For others, it is simply an opportunity to play top-level competition in Europe while doing a bit of touring.
For 10 days players will travel through Europe playing against top European teams, meet European coaches and players, and receive a "crash course" in European professional volleyball. The majority of these players will be offered contracts to play in Europe.
- March 18: The girls arrive in Paris, France
- March 18: Training and Match vs. St. Cloud (Paris), 2nd Division Team
- March 19: Training and Match vs. Evreux, France, 3rd Division Team -- Carrie Jacobson (NDSU '96) plays for Evreux
- March 20: Training in Riom, France -- We will watch VBC Riom (#3) vs. Istres (#9) -- Susan Meshberger (Ball State '01) plays for Istres
- March 21: Match vs. VBC Riom, Pro F Team (1st Division)
- March 22: Combine Day 1
- March 23: Combine Day 2
- March 24: TBA (Match or Training with AMVJ, NL, 1st Division Team) -- Colleen Smith and Skydra Orzen (both Texas Tech), Lindsey Kretzman (Toledo) -- Sherisa Livingston (Wisconsin), and Libby Windell (Arkansas) all play for AMVJ
- March 25: TBA in Amsterdam, NL -- We will be visiting with Michelle Quon (UCLA) and Brooke Rundle (UCSB) during our time in Holland. They play for Longa '59 and VOLCO Ommen respectively.
- March 26: TBA in the Netherlands
- March 27: TBA in Belgium
- March 28: Departure from Paris, France
