Day 5 – Pula

Northern Lights 16-1

            Hi everyone! This morning was great; we took a boat ride to the Brijuni Islands of Croatia.  From there, we had a nice tour guide who told us about the animals taken care of on the island and spoke briefly of its historical significance.  We took a swimming break in the Adriatic Sea which was probably the best part of the trip.  Floating was a team favorite! We skipped some rocks and worked on our tans.  After buying a few items from the gift shop the team headed to the boat to leave the island. We went back to the hotel and rested up for the match in the afternoon.

            Around 3:30, we played a local club from Pula and they were pretty good.  After losing the first two games, our team came back with a two game winning streak.  The girls from Pula were friendly and competitive. The last match came around and it was a battle to the finish.  With the score ending 14-16 we lost, but not without a fight! I think everyone agreed on the team that the match today was really fun to play.
