Day 9: Final Day of the Tournament

The white team played a tough match right away against Northern Lights. They played best of three and Northern Lights won the first two. However they played a third set anyway, that the white team ended up winning.

Following that match, the black team faced off with the Austrian team. They beat them in two and were fortunate enough to have two of the black team players play with the Austrians. Meanwhile the white team had the opportunity to eat an early lunch at a nice hotel restaurant where the black team would also get the chance to eat after their match. We had a rice and chicken pasta type dish called risotto. It was so delicious.

The white team went back to the playing facility to play in the finals. They played the Bavarians and won in four. They took first place in the tournament!

We then went to downtown Innsbruck for shopping!! It was so much fun going in all the authentic little shops. We had more ice cream and then ended our long day of shopping with dinner at the same restaurant again. This time we had five different kinds of meat including chicken, pork, steak, sausage, and bacon. It also came with a side of French fries. It was by far the best meal that I have eaten on this trip. We went back to the rooms and packed up for Italy!!
