When I tried thinking about it, I couldn’t really figure it out. What day would you say it is, still Sunday or now Monday? We had so many hours on planes and with the time change, we were all messed up. All of us, the girls, decided that we have pretty much pulled an “all nighter,” with maybe a few hours of sleep.
It started out with all of us meeting at the airport around 8 am. We went through all of the security and everything and then sat around waiting for our flight while learning some new card games. We had to first go to Atlanta because Curt said it saved us some money.
When we got on our plane, you could definitely see that taking this flight sure did save us a bit. Our plane was the smallest I have ever been on! It had 4 seats in each row and that was it. So that also meant no first class for Curt or Adam. BUMMER! One thing that was pretty cool though was we got to use STAIRS to get off the airplane. I don’t think any of us had gotten to do that before.
After getting inside the airport again, we met up with the girls from Front Range. We all hit it off very quick. We decided to teach them our new card games we had learned! But, it was quickly interrupted by a meeting with all of the coaches and players. Then it was straight to the plane. This was a much nicer plane with TVs everywhere and a lot more seats in a row. We had a full course meal, but let’s just say it wasn’t amazing.
Then, straight from the airport we hopped on our coach bus and headed off to do a little sightseeing to Neuschwanstein Schloss. It was about 2 hours south of Munich and had lots to see. We grabbed some lunch and then headed up to the castle! Some of us took a little buggy with horses to the top. It was amazing up there, mountains all around and a huge waterfall. But, since it felt like 4 am in the morning to us, we were all pretty tired. We slept a bit on the pavement and then met in the castle for a small tour about it. Every inch of that castle was covered in design, I was pretty impressed.
Well, what a long day! We’re now on the bus heading back to Munich to get ready to go out to dinner. It’s going to be pizza and pasta. Then it’s FINALLY time to sleep
