Day 10: On the Road
We got up early again and hit the road. We drove for 45 minutes and then stopped at Brenner Pass in Italy. It is the lowest mountain pass which made it very usable for the Romans to move from the South to the North when waging war. We shopped a little and took some breathtaking pictures and then loaded up the bus again. We drove a couple more hours and stopped at the very famous ski resort, Cortina. It was absolutely beautiful! We ate in an Italian pizzeria where we had delicious pizza. We then walked across the street to an ice cream parlor. We experienced melon flavored ice cream. We loaded the bus again and drove the final stretch to Pordenone. We are staying in hotels. The hotels are really cute and nice. We went to a cute Italian restaurant about 15 minutes away. The town is really cute and has all the necessities: shopping and ice cream. We have an early night tonight because of the full day ahead of us in Venice tomorrow.
