From March 20-29 the Northern Lights Volleyball Club (Minnesota) will be travelling with their u18 team to Italy. The first two days will be spent enjoying Rome, and then the team will having a training session in the beautiful Adriatic Coastal city of Pesaro. Robursport Pesaro (Italy A1, home team of USA National Team setter Lindsey BERG) will be hosting the team and they are also looking forward to also being able to watch an Italian A1 match: Pesaro vs. Santeramo (home team of Heather BOWN, USA National Team middle).

After leaving Pesaro, the team will spend a day in Venice and then check into their "Players' Village" in Pordenone at the 23rd Annual International Volleyball Tournament "Memorial Ferruccio Cornacchia".
There the team will compete in a field of 16 teams against top u18 teams from Brazil, Hungary, Austria, England, Croatia, Lichtenstein, Germany, Switzerland, Yugoslavia, and Italy. This is the first time that BIP has brought a team to this tournament, but we look forward to having an annual presence after this year.
