Editors note: Northern Lights played a mini tournament in Prague today with the Austrian Youth National Team and a collection of top Prague players under 20 years. The Austrian Youth National team is preparing for the World Championships in China later this month. It is the first time the Austrian Youth team has qualified for the World Championships, so many congratulations to Eva and Roland (trainers) and the team.
Day 6
Angie Bonde, U17 team
Today, we got up early and went to the gym. The gym only had one court so we got to watch each other play! The 17’s had a rough day playing, we’re still not used to European volleyball’s. The 16’s played really well taking one game to five against the Czech! Also they took taking one game away from the Austrian. Each of the Lights teams got to play Austrian and Czech Club teams, each of their teams consisted of players from ages 19-25 (very experienced). All of the teams had players that were tiny, but could jump out of the gym. Hopefully we can beat them tomorrow!

After our matches we came back to the hotel in high hopes of having a scavenger hunt! The Austrians were super tired and bailed on us. So instead we all went into downtown Prague and just shopped around. We then came back to the hotel and ate and we were let lose to do as we please!

Prague is amazing! I have taken my whole camera worth of scenery pictures! The town is huge and gorgeous, I’m really glad that we get to stay here for three nights! Everyone is having fun, and we are looking forward to all the days to come.
