Day 8
Amanda Polzin, U17’s
Today the bus was scheduled to leave promptly at 8:30 am. however, the room I was staying in did not wake up until 8:30! Once everyone was onboard we headed toward Vienna, Austria. The drive was beautiful and there were fields of sun flowers that just made you want to run right through them. We had to stop at the Czech border to show our passports. Brook had an interesting time trying to find hers! We soon entered Vienna where Maggie, Abby, Angie, Hayley, and I ate pizza. It was very good!

NL in Vienna
We also were entertained during our meal by a little boy named Emmit. He was four years old and he could speak 2 languages! Vienna is a beautiful city. The town was quiet and much cleaner compared to the other parts of Europe that I’ve seen. In the Town Square there were dancers, and other performers. There was a man handing out brochures that sure liked Abby and Lauren! We walked into a large catholic church that was very beautiful along with all the others that we have seen! Maggie and I got ice cream. I had coconut and she had mango but, she didn’t like hers to much. I wish we could have stayed longer because there was a carriage ride I would have liked to experience. We are now on our way to Maribor, Slovenia and are looking forward to a 3 hour long bus ride! Can’t wait to see all of you and tell you more about this wonderful adventure.
