Journal Entry #4, Venice, Italy

Waking up in the morning in Pula, we were all getting ready to enjoy our last full day on tour in Venice, Italy. We got on a big bus shared by a few teams but unfortuntly we were stopped at the border because two girls on a team had the wrong passports. Once we arrived in Venice we checked in to our hotel and went straight to shopping for ourselves and family. This was one of the best days of the entire trip. Coming home from Italy we had to wake up at 5:00 in the morning. Tired but so ready to go home to San Francisco. Everyone was super excited to see their parents for the first time in almost 2 weeks. We left Italy to Germany which was a short hour flight. From there we boarded right away for a long 10 hour flight back to San Francisco. Luckily everyone was tired and most of us slept during the flight. The last few hours felt like a eternity for everyone they were so happy they were going to be home with their familys. Once we landed we went through customs and got our bags and finally saw some of our parents because a few of us were on connecting flights to their hometowns. The trip to Europe was a great experience, but at the end I couldn't have been any more excited to be home with my family.
