Journal Entry #8, Final Day
By Morgan Odale, on her way to the University of Utah

Last and final day here in Europe and finally we got to see VENICE! The ride up was very interesting pointing mostly towards the flirtatious old men, yet besides their winning smiles and great odor we were able to consume the history around us.

The city on water was an amazing tourist attraction, Jordan Meredith, Maile Scarpino, Kelly Wood, and Andrea Beck made our way through the labyrinth with only our minds and some signs to guide the way. Venice is famous for their masks they were absolutely AMAZING! There was sooo many different types and it was as if artists made the masks come alive with their creativeness.

Trying to find our way back was something of a stressful nature, but we did eventually find the boats which took us on a tour of the whole outside of Venice. Truthfully I thought Venice was wonderful even though it is a little dirty and some creepers are whistling at you from the dark alleys, but otherwise I loved the shops and the PIZZA! Italy's Pizza is amazing, we should all start making that kind, it is so fresh and delicious!

Now back at the Hotel we all prepared for tomorrow’s journey to the states. I left at 10:00 am with some of the BIP players, and those girls are just a riot. I barely know em but like them! So everything is going great until I hit Philly. I was an hour behind schedule and when I ended up at the Denver airport I had six minutes to get to my gate before it left. Imagine this I'm at B5 and my gate is at B92 ... Hmm ... sprinting was definitely a thought. I didn't make it but I got into a very nice hotel for FREE!

Now seriously all of you that have watched the wizard of Oz you will always be thinking, THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME! I loved the trip and it was a great experience and as I always say, "Live and Learn". I stand by that because everyone makes mistakes and what makes you you is how you deal with your choices. I thought that this trip helped me gain a better understanding of that. So anyway I LOVED IT ALL!
