Tim Kelly, Brooke Rundle, Jo Fielder, and friends attended the 2nd Annual Coastal Clean Up, organized by Glenn Campbell from the Scuba Shack and Jim Dinsmore of Stones and Waves Veterinary Clinic. Our good friend Christian Dreyfus was the head of our group of 23, including about 15 Nicas from the Jean Brugger Foundation. Our group cleaned the stretch of beach south of San Juan del Sur called Playa Hermosa. After collecting 70 bags of trash and running out of bags, we headed back to town to have a BBQ with everyone involved.
A total of 5 beaches (Hermosa, San Juan del Sur Bay, San Juan del Sur Bay water, Marsella, and Maderas) were cleaned by 282 participants.
