Mini Tour II: Spanish Bangdown
May 1-9, 2005
The objective of the May tour will be to provide maximum exposure to SuperLiga and top FEV teams along the Costa Brava, Costa del Sol, and Costa Blanca. The tour will run (officially) for nine days. Players will report to Barcelona for afternoon training on Sunday May 1 st. The tour will end (officially) in Cadiz—located on the Atlantic side of the Iberian Peninsula. Those who wish to continue on to Guadalajara will have the opportunity to participate in an invitational two-day tryout with the soon to be SuperLiga team Reyal Voley.
All players will receive basic food and accommodations while on tour. A bed will be provided every night, but a sleeping bag is recommended as some hostels may charge for sheets. Breakfast and one main meal (usually dinner) will also be included. Transportation will be provided while on tour, with the option of being dropped off in Madrid on the 9 th, for players who do not wish to continue on to the tryout in Guadalajara. Madrid is also easily accessible by bus (1 hour/10 euro) from Guadalajara.
Only returning clients will be considered for the May Exposure Tour. And a maximum of nine players will participate. The current player list includes:

Ryan GENOVA, 199cm, zone 2/4; trained with Unicaja Almeria— Champions League Team and 2 nd ranked team in Spain. Played for their 2 nd team in 2004-2005.
Monte TUCKER, 192cm, zone 4; currently playing N1 France (Vannes); former All-MPSF selection
Lee J. MONTGOMERY, 195cm, zone 4; currently playing first division Holland; three years of European experience; Canadian
Jon WALSH, 198cm, zone 3; played ‘05 in Belgium; experience in Indonesia, Germany, and Portugal; BIP Canadian Partner

Interested returning clients should contact David Kniffin at bigwave@backpacker.com and Tim Kelly at bringitusa@aol.com as soon as possible. Once players have been placed on the tentative roster, payments of $600 USD should be made immediately via PayPal.
While Bring It Promotions, LLC can not guarantee placements from this tour, all players wishing to continue their playing careers (particularly those with aspirations to play in Southern Spain) should seriously consider this opportunity. That said, the April Spring Mini-Tour landed players in Puerto Rico (Matt Shubin signed in Lares, Puerto Rico), France (contracts TBA), and Italy (Ahmad was on tryout with A2 Loreto at the time of this posting) within the 10-day tour period.
Needless to say, with competition along the Southern Spanish coastline, all participants should arrive in shape for serious on and off the court activities.
