BIP/USA to China, Challenge Invitational June 30 - July 12, 2012
BIP/USA Development Team to China
China - USA Challenge Invitational Tournament
Beijing and (TBD), China
June 30 - July 12, 2012
For this event we will bring together two teams of top level collegiate stars to train at the Anaheim Sports Center in Anaheim, California (home of the USA Men's and Women's National Teams) on June 30 and July 1 and then leave together for Beijing, China on July 1. We will arrive July 2 and be in China for 10 nights.
We will play in the 2nd Annual China - USA Challenge Invitational against the Chinese Junior Nationla Team as well as top Chinese collegiate and club teams from Beijing and other cities (TBD).
Our full delegation will comprise 2 teams of 12 top collegiate players (juniors and seniors) with a handful of current professionals mixed in, 3 coaches per team, and Tim Kelly from BIP as Head of Delegation. We need the team to be selected and committed by mid-February 2012 in order to be sure to get affordable airfare and have our visas to China in order with plenty of time to spare.
Among non-volleyball activities we will get a tour of Beijing National Stadium (Birds Nest) and Olympic Village, visit the Great Wall, Forbidden City, shop at the Beijing Pear Market, and we will attend some cultural shows such as Chinese Gungfu (Martial Arts) & Acrobatics. There will also be parties and mixers with the Chinese teams.
Price for this trip is $2950 and includes round trip airfare (we'll fly all together as a team) from LAX to Beijing, China and the Chinese Visa. All hotels, ground transportation, meals, and team sightseeing activities are also included, in both Anaheim and China. The only extra cost is the players' airfare from their home city to LAX/SNA on June 30th and return home from LAX/SNA on July 12th. Details on flight times TBA.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is due on February 15, 2012, and each team will travel with 2 setters, 4 outside hitters, 2 opposites, 3 middles, and 1 libero.

Tom Pingel - USA Volleyball
Quote from Tom Pingel, USA Volleyball
"This is the 13th year that USA Volleyball has recognized a trip of this nature organized and managed by Bring It Promotions (BIP). The experience gained by the athletes and coaches simply can not be obtained through domestic play. The USAV/BIP partnership has worked well in that USA recommends coaches and athletes for invitation and Bring It provides post-trip reports on everyone on the trip. I'm confident that the 2012 experience will equal or surpass those of past years."
Bring It Promotions is proud to be working with Mizuno USA in conjunction with all BIP/USA Development Team Events.
