Canyon Crest Europe Trip July 2008

10:25 am

We left San Diego after a brutal wait in the bag checking line.  Marissa realized after waiting for so long in line, that she was supposed to be on the Delta flight at 7:25am… she was too late to board and ended up switching flights to a Jet Blue flight at 8:00 am.  The flight to New York was action packed with Fight Club entertainment on the laptop.  Carissa and Danielle fell asleep in an awkward position and it was immediately captured on every person’s camera.  Even though we were supposed to stay awake on the flight to New York, nobody really did.  We landed in New York at 4:15pm and enjoyed sandwiches and pizza from a local airline vendor.  We boarded the plane for Budapest at 5:45pm and departed at 6:45 pm… yes a long time to wait on a plane.  The flight was long and tedious… no one really slept at all and the knock out pills never worked… its ok though because we met some new friends… “Jersey” and a cute little girl named Elira, she was 7 and traveling by herself!! She was adorable and we were chilling with her and giving her candy.  But it was a good flight besides the length and customs was a breeze, no line at all!! Danielle however had a losing-bag-scare and we waited for about 45 minutes until FINALLY the carousel  started again and her bag came tumbling down.  We met up with our tour guide Heni who has the sickest accent ever and taught us how to say volleyball.. I don’t even know how to type it yet alone say it… but “thank you” is close… or something like that.  Well we just got to our rooms and Juliet will do the rest of today’s story tonight for blog numero dos!
