Club Fusion Italy 2009
Flying to Venice, Italy
Saturday, March 21, 2009 - Molly Turk and Taylor Brauneis

Greetings from Pordenone! While your evening in the U.S. may just be beginning, ours is winding down. We set off for our adventure from O'Hare International Airport at 6:30 P.M. While enduring the dreaded long 10 hour flight, we were rudely awakened by the interior plane lights and complimentary breakfast at 2 A.M. (Chicago time). After tossing and turning for what felt like eternity, someone spotted the Eiffel Tower and soon after we landed in Paris, France. We weren't aware of any of the differences in culture yet, besides how much more expensive airport food is in Europe. We tried catching up on some sleep during the 3 hour lay over, and then hopped onto yet another joyous flight to Venice, Italy.  Finally after landing, we got off the plane with great anticipation and an open mind towards any other culture that we would encounter. Luckily everyone recovered their luggage and then we met our tour guides: Mitchka and Lesah.  They took us to our quaint little hotel, and soon after we were off to explore the unfamiliar streets.  While touring the streets of Pordenone, each girl got the lucky chance to observe and apprecite the good looking Italian boys who we encountered. We then went to dinner to enjoy our first real European meal, which definitely met and exceeded our standards of good Italian food. To finish off a great night, we all made a worthwhile purchase of Gelato (great ice cream). We are getting rested up for a long day of touring tomorrow as we head off to Venice first thing in the morning. Have a great night, we know we will :]
