VOLLEYBALL EUROPEAN DIARY: DAY THIRTEEN

Kelly Campbell wraps up the Panthers' trip to Europe.

May 17, 2007

ROME, Italy - Our last day in Europe....We began the day sightseeing throughout Rome. We went to the Cappella Sistina (Sistine Chapel), Musei Vaticani (The Vatican), St. Peter's Basilica and then returned to the Coliseum and ancient Roman ruins. All were beautiful, so much better than anything in our history books.

We shopped around the city buying souvenirs and gifts to take back to the states. We jammed into packed metro cars and made our way back to the train station to our hotel. The train station had lots of shops and unique stores, a travelers dream. After spending the last of our Euros, we got ready for our last Italian meal. We stuffed ourselves full of pasta and pizza at this great little restaurant.

Following dinner we packed up our bags and prepared for our trip home. The packing was cut short due to the need for one last gellato and chocolate run!

Rome was amazing! We couldn't ask for a better city to end our trip with. See you back at Pitt soon!
