Nicole Taurence wraps up the team's stay in Croatia.
May 13, 2007
PULA, Croatia - Today was very relaxing. Instead of traveling all day like we had done yesterday we remained in the same city, Pula, the entire day. The day started with probably one of our best breakfasts so far. Of course there was bread cheese and meat, but they even served cereal and cold milk. I think I saw an ice cube for the first time in a week. It's the little things that I've learned to appreciate.
After breakfast the entire team walked to the rocky beaches. In Pula, the beaches do not have sand to lay on, instead they have huge rocks which can be a little uncomfortable. After a while we all made our way back to the hotel pool to relax in the sun for a bit longer. Around four, we drove into the city to do a little sightseeing. The city had a beautiful coliseum and many other ancient Roman ruins. Some of the team took advantage of the small town stores and did a little shopping. Around six, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our match. Today we had our last match of the tour, we ended on a good note beating the Croatian team, 3-0. Tomorrow we will travel to Venice, check back to see how things are going!!
